Welcome to Platform 1, a historic venue at Newtown's Railway Station! We want to express our gratitude to the Cambrian Railway for their support and funding that made this project possible. We're just about ready to open our doors, so make sure to check back for updates or email us to stay informed on our progress. In the meantime, we're thrilled to continue supporting Menshed Newtown, Warm Spaces, and Camerados.

The doors of the Platform 1 Cafe are opening 9th June at 10 O'Clock!!!

It has been a long time with a lot of hurdles to jump, but our small team are so excited to now have a date that can be shared with you all.

We want to take this opportunity to say a huge 'Thank You' to all of our, supporters, funders and to all of our volunteers who have worked around the clock to get this project up and running.

So mark it in your diary and pop up to the station to find out what we are all about and what we have planned for the Platform 1 project.

Introducing you to our Newtown mural.

With so much history within Newtown we wanted to capture some of the iconic Buildings / Structures, here we have captured 10 but there were so many more!
To bring in some colour we added the flash of blue of the Kingfisher, who we have seen many times flying along the river and the Red Kite is soaring above, just as they do on a daily basis.
